The People Behind Kids’ Poetry Club

Kids’ Poetry Club is a collaboration between children’s poet, Darren Short (aka Little Dazzy Donuts), and illustrator Dot Cherch.

Darren and Dot started Kids’ Poetry Club in January 2020 to share the joy of kids' poetry and provide a place where kids can listen to and read poems. As well as being a poet, Darren has worked in organizations around the world to support corporate training and adult education, has been published in journals and magazines, and has served in leadership roles in non-profits and professional associations. Darren writes the scripts for Kids’ Poetry Club, is the voice of Little Dazzy Donuts, edits all podcast audio, and runs both the website and the poetry competitions.
